GSL Education London Branch is delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional Head of Physics to join a successful and inclusive secondary comprehensive school and sixth form for girls located in the heart of Tower Hamlets.

Responsibilities of the Head of Physics:

Lead the Physics department across Key Stages 3 to 5

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons

Oversee curriculum development and ensure high standards of teaching and learning

Support and develop other teachers within the department

Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvement

Promote a love of Physics and foster curiosity and critical thinking

Organise and lead departmental meetings and contribute to whole-school initiatives

Requirements for the Head of Physics:

Previous experience teaching Physics from KS3 to KS5

A-level in Physics

A relevant degree in Physics or a related subject

Proven experience in a leadership role or readiness to step into one

Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Physics

Strong communication and organisational skills

A commitment to inclusion, high achievement and student wellbeing
