Teaching Assistant Level 2 (including after school club)

Join a vibrant team at a Rural Lancaster Primary School as a Teaching Assistant Level 2, where you will have the opportunity to support Year 1 students. This role includes working in the after-school club, making it a rewarding opportunity for those passionate about child development and education.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the delivery of daily lessons. 
• Support the teacher in preparing educational materials and classroom setup.
• Work closely with Year 1 students, providing additional support to those who need it.
• Monitor and encourage student progress, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Manage small groups of students to facilitate interactive learning activities.
• Participate in the after-school club from 15:15 - 17:30 (Mon-Thurs) and 15:15 - 16:00 (Fri)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar.
• Knowledge and experience of delivering phonics are highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Enthusiastic about working with children and committed to education.
• Flexibility to handle the dynamic needs of primary school students.
