Salary: £70000 - £75000/annum + car + full package

We are working with a leading civil engineering and construction organisation and are wanting to speak to Project Managers who have previous Highways expeience.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery the highways elements of a Project; maintaining a high level of quality/environmental awareness and developing customer relationships and optimising sustainable financial contribution within set targets. Manage and measure on site productivity and general performance of project (or Section) including managing procurement and performance of sub contractors. Delivering and measuring Customer Satisfaction. Comply with all BMS/SHEQ systems and in accordance with the Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities. Ensure works activities are carried out efficiently and to agreed programme and specification. Manage & develop team members individual performance, identify strengths and weaknesses in order to contribute to the succession planning.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee delivery of the highways elements of a project, set standards to facilitate high performing teams in line with Company H&S Roles & Responsibilities and legislative requirements. Ensure implementation of ITPs and Quality Plans. Ensure Management Plans and documentation required by BMS & Contract specific requirements are produced in line with programme for project (or section). Ensure As-Built information/H&S file information collated including post-completion documentation & certificates to enable retention release.Ensure resource sufficient for type/complexity of project (or Section) is in place to safely plan and deliver the project.

- Ensure project appointments in place for TWC, Permits, TSCO, Lifting etc

- Review Procurement in timely manner in line with BMS requirements to enable best value procurement. Review/manage sub-contracts & deliveries.

- Oversee development of project (or Section) programme and ensure it is maintained in line with contract requirements. Produce weekly programmes.

- Assist in the production of Project Cost Plan and monthly updates, monitor progress to ensure project (or Section) delivered to required targets.

- Manage site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency by understanding, adjusting and delivering an agreed scope & strategy based on tender principles. Agree & review with team all cost & productivity targets

- Provide contract notifications in timely manner, ensure payment applications are issued and in line with project forecasts and expectations. Maintain project risk/opportunity register. Maintain site diary and accurate records.
