A Headteacher at a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Bury is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join their team as soon as possible.

You'll need experience in:

Monitoring, recording and analysing student attendance and punctuality

*

Using school information systems (such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar) to maintain accurate attendance records

*

Communicating effectively with students, parents and carers to follow up absences

*

Working with pastoral teams to identify patterns of concern and support strategies to improve attendance

*

Producing attendance reports for senior leaders and external agencies where required

*

Understanding safeguarding procedures and knowing when to escalate concerns

Desired:

*

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service

*

Knowledge of attendance legislation and DfE guidance (training can be provided)
