Learning Support Assistant - Year 3 - Haringey Primary School

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Haringey. This Learning Support Assistant role is to work one-to-one with a child in Year 3 who requires additional support with behaviour and emotional regulation. The school is looking for someone calm, patient, and experienced with SEN or behavioural needs.

This Learning Support Assistant role will run from September 2025 to July 2026, with the view of transitioning to a permanent contract for the right person.

Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:

Learning support assistant to provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day

Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and structured routines

Build a strong, positive relationship with the pupil

Support the class teacher in maintaining a focused learning environment

Communicate effectively with the SENCo, parents and wider support teams

Learning Support Assistant Requirements:

Prior experience in a similar 1:1 or SEN support role

A proactive and reflective approach to working with children

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
