We are working with a SEN/SEMH School in the Worthing area who are looking for an experienced and SEN Teaching Assistant to start ASAP.

The role will be to support a their students with and without EHCPs who have additional and complex needs. We are looking for someone with both SEN and mainstream school experience.

Your key duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant will be to:

* Support a students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

* Follow IEPs.

* Manage any challenging behaviour

* Work under the direction of the class teacher.

* Creating a calm and safe environment for the pupil to thrive in

* Adapt teaching support according to student's needs

* Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare

It is essential that you have previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with SEN and being able to help children with their work who are academically struggling.

The school is set in a suburban site in Worthing in a nice residential area.
