CMA Recruitment Group is currently recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Specialist to join a leading distribution business in Southampton due to continued growth of the business.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will support with the end-to-end payables function through to payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations. This role is office based.

What will the Accounts Payable Specialist role involve?

Sending purchase invoices for approval and coding before posting
Reconciling stock invoices with purchase orders and goods inward documentation including multi-currency
Managing weekly/monthly payment run, ensuring payments are made on their due dates
Processing payment on banking system for authorisation by Financial Accountant or Director
Reconciling supplier statements
Communicating and developing relationship with suppliers, including verbally confirming new bank details
Processing employee expenses
Managing payables email address
Continual process improvement and open to new system development
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:

Strong payables experience required through to reconciliations and payment runs
Multi currency experience would be ideal but not essential
Self-sufficient and able to work using own initiative
