Daily pre-trips and post-trips must be completed.
Load and prepare equipment for upcoming jobs, prepare at site, and unload upon daily completion. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape and weight.
Set up and operate vacuum trucks. This includes lifting, carrying and pulling hoses of up to 100 lbs, climbing on to the unit (12' high) for set up and minor maintenance, standing, kneeling or bending for long periods of time.
Set up and operate sewer cleaning equipment. This includes lifting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, If equipment or objects weighing over 50 lbs you are required to have assistance, standing for long periods of time, and climbing on to the unit for set up.
Perform confined space entry in tanks, pits, trenches and other areas that may include climbing, standing and working in awkward positions.
Drive any and all vehicles as needed including those with manual and automatic transmissions.
Inspect, use and maintain various personal protection equipment including safety harness, air monitor, ladders, tripod and any additional items that are required for each job. Identify and report in writing defective equipment on trucks.
Lead job and make sure all Helpers and tasks are being completed safely and efficiently.
Set up and operate various hand held and hand operated equipment including power tools, shovels etc.
Work in a variety of environments including wastewater plants, wastewater lift stations, stormceptors, storm lines, bad weather, and noisy environments, etc.
Responsible for their own job safety and work quality.
Maintain hours of service logs (when required) accurate and up to date.
Check all paperwork for accuracy prior to, during, and after completion of job including manifest, bill of lading, land disposal restriction forms, etc.
Ensure proper placarding of waste hauling vehicle.
Wash vehicles as required.
Perform minor maintenance functions on trucks as needed while on the road or at the shop.
Regular and reliable attendance is required during regularly scheduled shifts and any on-call work requests by Management.

Fill up vactor/support vehicles with fuel before returning to shop daily.
Must pass DOT physical for operation of commercial motor vehicles.
Able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
Able to bend at the waist to reach within 6” of the ground and reach overhead.
Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
Must have manual dexterity sufficient for use of small hand tools, handling of small parts (e.g. nuts/bolts), and working with hands at various positions.
Able to lift, carry, push and pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs with another employee's assistance.
Must be able to work in extreme temperature conditions, in confined areas and at heights in excess of 30 feet.
Good vision and hearing.
Able to read, write, and understand and speak English.
