Anderson Knight is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Glasgow, who are currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time, office-based basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients across various industries

* Preparing and submitting VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital requirements

* Providing comprehensive payroll services, including auto-enrolment and RTI submissions

* Assisting in the preparation and submission of personal and business tax returns

* Ensuring compliance with HMRC deadlines and statutory requirements

* Liaising directly with clients to gather information and provide ongoing support

* Maintaining accurate records using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

Requirements:

* Experience working in an accountancy practice environment is essential

* Solid understanding of bookkeeping, payroll processes, VAT regulations, and tax return preparation

* Proficiency in accounting and payroll software

* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

* Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment

* AAT qualified or working towards a professional qualification is desirable
