Overhaul Engineer - CHP Generators
Location: Cheshire & Nationwide (Hybrid working)

£45,000 to £47,500 + (OTE £55,000+) + Vehicle + Bonus + Training

Innotech Partners are working with one of the UK's fastest growing renewable energy businesses to recruit Overhaul Engineers for Combined Heat & Power (CHP) generator systems. Due to rapid expansion and increased investment, we are seeking highly skilled engineers to lead major overhauls and rebuilds of large internal combustion engines across South Wales.

This is a hands-on, technical role focused on engine overhauls, strip-downs, rebuilds, and major component replacement-ideal for someone with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering within the CHP, power generation, marine, ex-military, or heavy plant sectors.

The Role:

Overhauling and rebuilding large internal combustion engines (CHP Units - Jenbacher, MTU, Cummins, Caterpillar)
Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling engine components to manufacturer standards
Working across multiple customer sites across South Wales
Supporting major outages, planned preventative maintenance, and deep diagnostics
Collaborating with Service Engineers and Operations staff during full lifecycle of major works
Opportunity to upskill into broader CHP responsibilities and controls/systems integration

The Ideal Candidate:

Time-served engineer with strong mechanical experience (electrical a bonus)
Proven experience overhauling engines, preferably in CHP, power gen, marine, or heavy plant
Comfortable working on-site and travelling within the region
Flexible with hours and happy to join a call-out rota when fully up to speed
Passion for renewable technology and energy transition

Package & Benefits:

Base salary of £45,000 - £47,500 (OTE £55,000+ with bonus and overtime)
