We’re excited to be recruiting for an Accounts Payable Assistant on behalf of our client a perfect opportunity for a finance graduate or anyone looking to launch a successful career within a finance team. This role offers full training, structured development and a clear progression pathway.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you’ll be a key support to the wider finance function, helping ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. This hands-on role will help you build strong foundations in transactional finance, with responsibilities including:

• Collecting monthly statements from stock suppliers and chasing any missing documentation
• Matching invoices and credit notes against supplier statements
• Creating and issuing query sheets for disputed or incorrect invoices
• Reconciling supplier statements with internal records and preparing supplier payment sheets
• Supporting the Finance Manager with cash posting and general administrative tasks
• Handling incoming calls, directing queries, and providing support to suppliers

This role is well-suited to a Finance or Accounting graduate looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment.
