Primary Responsibilities Include:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a Secure Messaging environment. Hosted applications include but are not limited to, Microsoft Exchange servers, Windows 2008 R2/2012 R2 domain controllers, DNS/WINS servers, Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), Microsoft Outlook, Exchange Active Sync, and other applications as deployed by the Secure Messaging Team, including Axway MailGate and IronPort Email Security appliances.
Responsible for supporting, troubleshooting and providing solutions for Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Certificate Services (specifically Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol), Red Hat Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
Responsible for providing senior level support for the Secure Messaging team.
Responsible for monitoring and resolving Service Desk escalated incident and problem tickets assigned to the Secure Messaging team. All incidents should be worked to service level targets and resolutions documented in call detail.
Participate in after business hours operational maintenance activities and deployments, as needed.
Monitor performance levels and capacity of supported applications and appliances, and assist in proper capacity planning and management.
Engage with enterprise monitoring tools teams to ensure proper monitoring of all supported Secure Messaging applications and appliances.
Engage in Secure Messaging engineering activities as required, such as developing build documents, testing configurations and patches, and planning deployments.
Bachelor's Degree in a technology-focused major, certification or equivalent experience.
5+ years of focused/dedicated experience with Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/Office 365 enterprise environment.
Expert knowledge and experience in messaging and authentication technologies, such as Unified Messaging, Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos and DNS.
Demonstrated experience with mobile technologies, such as Blackberry Enterprise Server and Exchange Active Sync.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and or Windows Server 2012 R2.
Hands-on, senior-level experience with Axway MailGate and Cisco IronPort Email and Web Security appliance administration, configuration, operations and maintenance is highly desired.
Experience with Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) in Blackberry Enterprise Server environment desired.
Demonstrates an understanding of performance tuning and optimization including the identification of performance related issues.
Strong customer service orientation.
Communication skills should include ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals and technical procedures, ability to write reports, business correspondence, process and procedure documentation, and be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from technical leaders, customers and associates.
