A specialist provision in Lincoln, dedicated to supporting children with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, is seeking Learning Support Assistants. These children are inspirational, and it is a privilege to support them in their learning opportunities. The provision is looking for individuals who are committed, passionate, and resilient, ready to make a significant impact on young people's lives.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of students.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with students, helping to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with a professional team to plan and implement educational activities.
  • Utilise and develop skills to contribute to the continuous improvement of educational practices.
  • Engage in comprehensive Continuous Professional Development to enhance abilities and understanding of diverse learning needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to relate well to children and young people.
  • Excellent team player with robust problem-solving skills.
  • Resilient and able to use initiative in a dynamic educational environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Good Maths and English skills.
  • Basic IT skills, including the use of emails.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect, and share effective practice with others.
  • Previous experience in a school is not essential; however, transferable skills are highly valued.
