We're hiring for a Mechanical Fitter to join a forward-thinking company that specialises in high-quality manufacturing and fabrication at their site based in Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak.

* 4-day week: Monday - Thursday early & late shifts

What will you be doing a Mechanical Fitter?

* Assembling a wide range of mechanical products including gearboxes and smaller sub-assemblies

* Using engineering best practice, drawings, and SOPs to ensure work produced conforms to relevant drawing specifications/tolerances or limits

* Performing quality testing, vibration tests, and on-site commissioning

* Ensuring that all calibrated equipment used during assembly operations is in good condition and within calibration date

What do you need?

* NVQ Level 3 Mechanical/Maintenance Apprenticeship (or equivalent)

* Hands-on mechanical assembly experience - gearbox assembly or any intricate mechanical work is preferred

* Experience of building/maintaining electromechanical products or vehicle mechanics would be an advantage

* A background in Police or Armed Forces is beneficial
