Key Responsibilities:

Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that cater to the individual needs of all pupils, ensuring the curriculum is taught effectively.

Use a variety of assessment tools to track progress and identify areas for development, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports the development of independence, curiosity, and resilience in Year 2 pupils.

Collaborate closely with colleagues, sharing best practices, planning lessons together, and ensuring consistent standards across the year group.

Maintain strong communication with parents and carers, ensuring they are kept informed about their child's progress and achievements.

Contribute to the wider school community by engaging in extracurricular activities, school events, and initiatives that enhance the pupil experience.

Person Specification:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised qualification.

*

In-depth knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and the developmental needs of Key Stage 1 children.

*

Experience in assessing and tracking pupil progress, with the ability to use data to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.

*

Excellent classroom management skills, fostering a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

*

A commitment to professional development, continuous learning, and contributing to a positive school culture.
