We have an excellent job opportunity for a part-time Fundraising Officer to work 21 hours per week at this leading UK charity in Banbury.

About the Charity
This organisation is the leading charity providing support, community and advocacy for all those parenting or supporting children who cannot live with their birth parents. They connect adoptive families, provide information and signposting on a range of adoption-related issues and campaign for improvements to adoption policy and legislation at the highest levels. With over 8,000 members, they provide a strong, supportive community and are the largest voice of adopters in the UK.

About the Role
As Fundraising Officer, you will work collaboratively to grow the fundraising income and activities by proactively promoting and developing opportunities for members and others to raise funds on behalf of the charity. This includes:

- Community fundraising activities
- Challenge events
- Regular giving
- General donations
- Corporate giving
- Annual appeals
- Gift Aid

Responsibilities as Fundraising Officer
- Encourage and support individuals who donate to and/or fundraise for the charity, both online and directly.
- Actively promoting membership to donors and fundraisers and engaging with members to encourage fundraising.
- Identify and develop community fundraising opportunities across England and coordinate with teams in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to promote good practice.
- Coordinate the booking and promotion of any hosted fundraising events in England, working closely with HQ and home-based staff and volunteers as required.
- Communicate with staff in the devolved nations to ensure there is a central calendar/record of these events for all of the Charity.
- Provide support to the Income Development Manager in pursuit of grant-giving trust income, corporate donations, volunteer opportunities and partnerships.
- Update and maintain the customer relationship database and keep accurate records of fundraising activities and donations.
- Contribute to the provision of content for fundraising materials on the website, Social Media and Charity magazine.
- Liaising with the Public Affairs and Communications Team to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with the UK's fundraising regulations, Data Protection regulations and charity policy and practice.
- Maintain and distribute fundraising merchandise and support materials.

Experience and knowledge:

- Operational experience, including implementing plans through effective partnership working and collaboration
- Proven experience of community engagement
- At least 12 months experience of running or working on fundraising events
- Personal or professional experience of adoption an advantage
- Knowledge of Fundraising Regulations and best practice

For the role of Fundraising Officer there is a salary on offer of circa £21,500 per annum, pro rata.
Our client's terms and conditions of employment offer generous staff benefits, including:
