SEMH Support - KS2

We are seeking a resilient and proactive SEMH Support Assistant to work with KS2 students in a mianstream primary. This role requires strong behaviour management and intervention experience, supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs to re-engage with learning.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent support to KS2 pupils with SEMH needs, both 1:1 and in small groups.

*
Implement behaviour strategies and targeted interventions to promote positive outcomes.

*
Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to adapt approaches for individual needs.

*
Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage resilience, confidence, and progress.

Essential Skills & Experience

*
Behaviour management experience in PRU, SEMH, or specialist settings.

*
Intervention experience supporting students with SEMH needs.

*
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.

*
Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
