Documentation Coordinator – Production (Pharmaceuticals)

Role: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Fawdon, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
Salary: £19K – £22K + bonus + benefits

The Role:

We’re seeking a methodical and focussed Documentation Coordinator to create and maintain our Production documentation and work closely with our Artwork department to ensure packaging artwork is effectively produced and prioritised to meet planned manufacturing schedules. Taking ownership of our departmental administration processes, you’ll assemble Production documentation packs for each planned product to ensure our daily manufacturing and packing schedules run smoothly. As part of the packs, you’ll produce a Bill of Materials (including details of what foils, cartons and labels are required), accurate Packing Instructions and compile accompanying Master Batch Packing Records ready to go to the Production team. Completing the relevant documentation files, you’ll gain sign-off from our QA team before entering the relevant information into our company systems (ERP and QMS) and circulating the approved packs to the relevant teams. Acting as the central point of communication between key departments (QA, Production, Packing, Artwork, Procurement), you’ll drive the accurate completion of all documentation to ensure packs are ready ahead of schedule, and proactively follow-up on any problems or delays to avoid Production downtime. To ensure the smooth running of the department, you’ll maintain all trackers to ensure an accurate picture of projects is maintained at all times, update SOPs for accuracy and raise Change Control documentation to record process deviations, where required.

The Person:

With some experience in a Production environment manufacturing or packing), you’ll have a good understanding of Production processes and the importance of getting documents ready up-front to prevent line closures. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you’re confident liaising with all levels of authority and can navigate cultural differences with ease. As a good team player, you’re proactive in your approach and are confident to make direct approaches to colleagues, rather than hiding behind a computer screen! As a person, you’re methodical and well-organised, with excellent planning and file management skills, along with the ability to prioritise your work to meet deadlines. You have an excellent eye for detail, and remain accurate even under pressure or working in a fast-paced environment. With good IT skills, you have experience of working with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new company systems quickly.
