Responsible for managing the business office and records and being the face and voice of Roof King to visitors and incoming phone callers to foster the excellence in customer service that the Company’s reputation and success is built on. Provides a friendly and up-beat personal greeting and answers questions or directs individuals to the proper department/individual. In addition, responsible for compiling, data entering, and maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing tracking, payroll, and cash deposit records in accordance with Company accounting procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. Reconciles and balances account records and files documentation in a timely manner. Maintains office in a presentable fashion and orders and controls office supplies.
High School graduate or equivalent. Coursework/Associate degree in accounting or general business desired.
Must have basic knowledge of the proper protocol for answering phones and greeting customer is essential. Must have basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes. Should be well-versed in accounts payable and accounts receivable detail. Knowledge of balancing techniques. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs is required.
Strong customer service and communication skills. Must have the ability to speak clearly and professionally and deal with the pressure of a high-energy growth environment. Must have problem-solving skills in working with figures and in balancing and reconciling accounts. Must have the ability to multi-task performing accounting functions and answering incoming calls simultaneously.
Knowledge of Online Quickbooks, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, CRM (AccuLynx) systems is strongly preferred. Construction/roofing industry knowledge beneficial.
