What you'll do:

Plan and deliver structured, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND across the primary age range

*

Adapt activities, resources and teaching approaches to ensure accessibility and meaningful engagement

*

Work in close partnership with teaching assistants, SENCOs and external specialists to implement personalised support plans

*

Develop pupils' communication, emotional regulation, independence and confidence

*

Support children with EHCPs through well-planned, targeted interventions

*

Build strong, positive relationships with families to promote consistency and wellbeing

*

Contribute to the wider school community and uphold a nurturing, inclusive ethos

What we're looking for:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but not essential for the right SEND-focused practitioner

*

Experience working as a SEND Teacher, or strong interest in developing SEND specialism

*

Knowledge of adaptive teaching, personalised learning and differentiated approaches

*

Awareness of supporting pupils with communication needs, sensory needs or learning differences

*

Strong communication, teamwork and reflective practice skills

*

Patience, empathy and commitment to supporting every child to achieve
