Are you an experienced residential childcare professional ready to take the next step in your management career?

We are proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding care provider for children and young people, currently recruiting for a Registered Manager for one of their well-established children's homes in Cannock. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate organisation specialising in supporting young people who have experienced early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and who may present with challenging behaviours. The home offers space for 3 children and young people aged 8-18.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strong leadership and guidance to your care teamEnsure the home operates efficiently and in line with relevant legislation, policies, and OFSTED requirementsPromote positive outcomes for young people through education, activities, therapeutic approaches, and emotional supportOversee recruitment, vetting, and induction of new team membersContribute to a comprehensive training and development programme for staffSupport and develop your team to ensure high retention and excellent moraleBuild and maintain effective relationships with commissioning authorities, regulatory bodies, and multi-disciplinary professionalsEnsure full Health & Safety compliance within the homeRegister with OFSTED and uphold all regulatory requirements and conditions

Requirements:

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services (or willingness to work towards)Experience at senior level in a children's residential settingSolid understanding of strategies to support children with trauma and challenging behavioursFull UK manual driving licenceCommitment to ongoing professional development to meet the needs of young peopleThis is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
