The Role - Year 4 Teacher (KS2)

The school is looking for a passionate, caring teacher who can keep lessons engaging, purposeful, and fast-paced. Pupils respond particularly well to teachers who combine clear routines with a positive, enthusiastic approach.

Key responsibilities:

Lead a Year 4 class and deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stage 2

Plan engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners

Maintain strong classroom management and promote a calm, purposeful learning environment

Collaborate with the parallel Year 4 teacher to share planning, assessment, and best practice

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support the school community

About You

Experienced in Upper KS2 / Year 4 teaching (highly desirable)

Confident classroom manager who keeps pupils focused and engaged

Enthusiastic, caring, and committed to pupil progress

Team player who thrives in a team-focused environment

Confident ECTs with strong behaviour management skills will also be considered
