Sustainability Consultant

Sutton/Bedford

A well-established multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Sustainability Consultant to join its growing sustainability team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of UK-based projects, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, education, and healthcare developments.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver sustainability assessments and advisory services across multiple project types

Undertake BREEAM assessments, including evidence reviews and site inspections

Prepare sustainability statements and reports to support planning applications

Provide advice on net zero carbon strategies and wider sustainability objectives

Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams

Essential Criteria

Degree-qualified in sustainability, environmental science, building services, or a related discipline

Experience working in a sustainability or built environment consultancy role

Strong understanding of sustainable building design principles

Excellent written, verbal, and organisational skills

Desirable Criteria

Licensed BREEAM Assessor

Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) or carbon reporting

Knowledge of UK sustainability standards and legislation

Membership of a relevant professional body
