Maintenance Technician - Keep Operations Running Smoothly

Are you hands‑on, technically minded, and driven by keeping essential equipment operating at its best? Our client is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their fast‑paced manufacturing team, ensuring utilities, safety systems, and site infrastructure run reliably every day.

Type: Permanent, Monday-Friday

Salary: £35-40k per annum, DOE

What You'll Be Doing

As a Maintenance Technician, you'll support the safe and efficient operation of all site utilities and equipment. You'll work closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to keep critical systems performing reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

Working with internal teams to spot improvement opportunities that increase uptime and reduce downtime
Carrying out and supervising maintenance activities across utility systems
Ensuring equipment operates to specification and supporting commissioning of new installations
Managing compliance and identifying safety risks proactively
Supporting day‑to‑day utility operations and contributing to engineering project work
Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance routines and asset‑care strategies
Assisting with capital projects, equipment life‑extension work, and monitoring energy efficiency and system performance

What You'll Bring:

Experience in maintenance, utilities, or engineering support within manufacturing
Strong understanding of utility systems, reliability principles, and safety processes
Knowledge of engineering standards and relevant legislation
Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office tools
