An innovative educational institution in Reading is seeking a History Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis starting in September 2025. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about shaping the minds of students through a modern and dynamic approach to teaching history.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and informative history lessons to students in KS3-KS5, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum.
  • Utilize modern teaching methods and technologies, including video conferencing and online resources, to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Proactively manage classroom environments, fostering a culture of curiosity and self-directed learning among students.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to develop innovative lesson plans and learning strategies.
  • Regularly assess student progress through both formal and informal methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the vibrant community atmosphere.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of educational trends and best practices in history education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in history or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching history at secondary school level (KS3-KS5).
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching tools.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for History.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring and motivating students.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
