Position: Production Manager
Location: Grantham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

A well-established, family-run engineering business is seeking an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of workshop operations and drive production.

This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with a strong background in fabrication, welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, or related manufacturing disciplines.

Overview

Lead and manage a team of approximately 15 production staff across fabrication, welding, laser cutting, and machining
Oversee all aspects of production including quality control, HSE compliance, and operational efficiency
Implement processes to maximise productivity, efficiency, and output quality
Collaborate with management and shopfloor teams to plan, schedule, and deliver production targets
Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the workshop
Maintain high standards of safety, organisation, and team performanceRequirements

Strong practical background in fabrication, welding, laser cutting, CNC machining, or related engineering disciplines
Proven experience managing teams in a workshop or production environment
Hands-on understanding of health & safety regulations, quality control, and continuous improvement processes
Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teamsSalary and benefits
