Mechanical Design Engineer required for permanent, full time role in Hengrove, Bristol – BS14

• £34,000 - £39,000 per annum, depending on experience/qualifications.
• 37.5 hrs a week
• 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays – increasing to 28 after 5 years’ service

About the role

• Delivering projects to both internal and external stakeholders
• Take ownership of projects from initial concept through to build, and support of commissioning and installation
• Produce parts lists, detail drawings
• Take responsibility for all the mechanical aspects of a project and provide technical guidance to
• internal and external customers as necessary
• Carry out risk assessments on machinery and assemblies of machinery
• Make occasional visits to both UK and international destinations as necessitated by the customer project requirements

 The right candidate

• Minimum 2 years’ prior experience in a Design Engineering role, relatable to machinery
• HNC or Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Integrated)
• Experience in the design of electro-mechanical mechanisms and equipment
• 3D modelling skills - Solid Works, or Inventor
• The ability to read and produce 2D production drawings applying GD&T as necessary
• Experience of the interactions and interfaces with electrical engineering
• At interview stage you will need to bring or supply a portfolio of your work that has been created or work on
