Calix is seeking a Supplier Operations Manager to lead our supplier partnerships for Repair Services. As the Supplier Operations Manager, you will manage the supplier selection, qualification, performance, and risk, and you will own all aspects of cost for our repair service partners as part of the Supplier Management team. You will work closely with internal customer service and support, Hardware & Software Engineering, Engineering Services, and Demand and Supply planning to serve as the lead for supplier relationship management and performance. Your primary purpose is focused on cost, quality, and delivery KPIs for our repair partners, seeking and planning continuous improvement. You are responsible for identifying performance exceptions and risks, forming and communicating plans for progress, and planning and optimizing the total cost of the repair service. You will develop and sustain partnerships with Calix cross-functional groups to ensure they derive full value with supplier provided services.


- Establish an understanding of the repair services objectives and align supplier partners to achieve key results, primarily on time delivery and cost targets

- Manage and enable compliance to contract terms

- Develop and analyze metrics, key performance indicators, and reports to monitor service performance and identify improvements.

- Lead quarterly business reviews and Calix teams assessment of overall partner performance

- Play key role in managing quotations, pricing, and completion of rework by repair partner of unplanned rework of manufactured finished goods

- Identify and resolve supplier resource capacity constraints, risks, supplier transitions and handle new products service plan

- Works closely with Calix Quality team to ensure partner quality standards for workmanship and operational processes are maintained to acceptable standards and level

- Coordinate and engage internal teams with repair services partners for service design, enablement, implementation, and support.


- Bachelor' degree in technology or computing, supply chain, or equivalent; MBA or masters degree preferred

- 10 years of practical experience in an outsourced supplier management role

- 5 years of practical experience in repair service/reverse supply chain

- Strong relationship management and experience managing business partnerships with the ability to work successfully horizontally and vertically within any organization

- Ability to define and implement suitable KPIs and metrics for evaluating ongoing supplier management and product repair operations

- Passionate about customer service

- Experience with high tech hardware

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks Highly proficient in the use of business management and process tools, including Excel

- Excellent written and oral communication skills tailored for all audiences

- Ability to collaborate effectively with other technical employees and business stakeholders

- Team player, agile, and results oriented, with a bias for action
