Graduate Teaching Internship

Would you like to gain practical paid school based experience prior to enrolling in formal teacher training?
Teaching Personnel are looking for motivated Graduates to join our Graduate Teaching Internship with immediate affect. Through the programme, successful graduates are introduced to a local secondary school to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for up to one academic year. Previous experience of working with secondary aged students is desirable however, ongoing support will be provided by an in school mentor and by Teaching Personnel.
Graduate Teaching Assistants will support in a variety of roles to get a real insight in to life as a teacher. Over the course of the programme Graduate Teaching Assistant will provide specialist in class support, assist in the preparation and planning of lessons, help raise attainment through one-to-one and small group interventions and deliver cover supervision in the short term absence of teachers.
Graduates will be required on a full time basis Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Highlights of the Graduate Teaching Internship
- Full time role working as a Teaching Assistant in your subject specialist department
- Payment of up to £1300 per month paid on a weekly basis of £350 per week
- Opportunity to earn a place on our client schools initial teacher training course (SCITT)
- Ongoing support provided by a teacher mentor and Teaching Personnel
