Salary - £24,000 - £34,000

Shift - Days - Monday - Friday (8 Hour Shifts)

About the Role:

As a Metrology Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and technical integrity of complex components and assemblies. Your expertise will help drive product development and continuous improvement across multiple high-value industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Process measurement data using GOM Inspect, PolyWorks, or similar metrology software.

Perform and manage high-precision dimensional measurements and data analysis.

Develop, refine, and implement measurement strategies to improve accuracy and throughput.

Design custom measurement setups tailored to specific project and component requirements.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support projects in aerospace, power generation, and medical technologies.

Contribute to product lifecycle activities including design validation, prototyping, and transition to manufacture.

Lead root cause investigations and support the development of corrective and preventative actions.

Ensure metrology practices align with industry standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.

Interface with suppliers and customers to uphold technical standards and product quality.

Key Requirements:

2+ years' experience in metrology, dimensional inspection, or a related precision measurement role.

Proficient with optical measurement systems (e.g., GOM, ZEISS) and contact-based systems (e.g., MCOSMOS, PC-DMIS).

Hands-on experience with metrology software such as GOM Inspect, ZEISS Inspect, or PolyWorks.

Familiarity with non-contact 3D scanning technologies (e.g., GOM, Alicona).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.

Understanding of quality systems and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949).

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to project work.
