We have an established Forwarder looking for a Commercial Operations Manager.
Role OverviewThe Commercial Operations Manager will be part of the Forwarders' central commercial support team, providing essential business development, sales enablement, and analytics services to all sector heads and the executive team. This role is responsible for structuring deals, supporting proposal development, driving pricing strategies, delivering business insights, maintaining CRM systems, and supporting innovation in the company's services and solutions.This is a critical leadership role, initially managing a small specialist team, with responsibility for growing the function as the company expands into new sectors and geographies.Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Team Management- Business Development Support- Deal Structuring & Pricing Strategy- Proposal Development & Bid Management- Product and Service Innovation- Business Insights & Commercial Analytics- Market & Competitive Intelligence- Partner and Supplier Commercial Management- CRM Maintenance & Management
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
· Previous experience in commercial operations, sales support, or business development enablement, ideally in logistics, secure transportation, or high-value sectors.
· Strong commercial and financial acumen, with proven experience in deal structuring, pricing, and proposal development.
· Experience managing small, high-performing teams in a fast-paced commercial environment.
· Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex data and turn them into actionable recommendations.
· Excellent proposal writing, communication, and client-facing skills.
· Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities across different business sectors.
· Experience working with high-value, high-security supply chains (e.g., precious metals, fine art, financial services) is an advantage.
· Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive leadership style, and strong commitment to delivering results.
· Fluent English is essential; additional languages are advantageous.
