An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a client of ours, a leading Medical Device Company based on the outskirts of Leeds currently looking to recruit a detail‑driven Quality Control Technician to join their team. This role is essential in ensuring the consistent quality, safety, and compliance of life saving products (Heart Valves) through inspection, documentation, and support of key systems used in the manufacturing processes.

You will play a key part in operating vision systems, supporting product release activities, and assisting with internal audits - helping maintain exceptional standards across the production environment.

Starting Salary - £27,360 (increase to £29k after probation)

Large amount of training and progression for the ideal candidate.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 7am - 1.30pm

Job Description

* Operate Vivtro and BDC vision systems to support valve processing and inspection.

* Complete routine maintenance and asset‑care tasks aligned with the vision systems' maintenance schedules.

* Perform Quality Control activities including inspection and release of labels, WIP materials, and final packaging components.

* Conduct incoming inspections for components and raw materials against established specifications.

* Support preparation activities for internal audits and regulatory facility inspections.

* Assist with document and record administration, including reviewing and completing DHRs.

* Support final valve inspection, testing, and product release processes.

* Contribute to additional quality‑related projects as assigned by the QC Team Leader or Quality Engineering Manager.

Qualifications / Skills

* Strong initiative with the ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions.

* Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.

* High attention to detail, especially with product inspection and documentation processes within cleanroom environments.

* Confident with standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and basic electronic equipment such as printers and scanners.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including accurate spelling and grammar.

* Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy and quality.

* GCSEs, A‑Levels, or equivalent high‑school level qualifications.

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment—preferably within the medical device or pharmaceutical sectors.

* Prior experience in Quality Control within manufacturing is highly desirable.

* Experience working with electronic document management systems is an advantage.
