Job Title: Site-Based Quality Engineer
Location: Aldermaston (Nuclear Site)
Rate: £45-£50 per hour (Outside IR35)
Contract: 12-Month Initial Term

AWE is seeking a Site-Based Quality Engineer to support ongoing construction activities at our Aldermaston site. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional with strong construction experience and a proven track record in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor physical progress against Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) using BIM 360 Field View or similar digital tools.

Coordinate and review ITPs with the Construction Site Manager.

Ensure all ITP tasks are completed and documented in line with project requirements.

Review construction site records for compliance and quality assurance.

Track and expedite resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and defect issues.

Requirements:

Significant construction site experience, preferably on large-scale or regulated projects.

Current CSCS Card (mandatory for site access).

Proficient in Autodesk BIM 360 Field View or similar online QA/QC checklist and reporting tools.

Strong knowledge of ITP processes and quality control procedures.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Security Clearance:

Ideally DV (Developed Vetting) cleared.

Minimum SC (Security Clearance) required.

Must be eligible for DV clearance (British nationality required and residency in the UK for the past 10 years).

Additional Information:

Full-time, site-based at Aldermaston.

Role is Outside IR35.

Long-term opportunity with initial 12-month contract.
