We're now looking to recruit a site-based Assistant Engineer to support ongoing project delivery. This is an ideal opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience on a high-profile infrastructure scheme.

The Role:

As an Assistant Engineer, you'll work closely with the site engineering team to help deliver key civil and groundworks elements, including drainage, foundations, RC structures, and roads. This role offers excellent exposure to large-scale project work and long-term development within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting senior engineers with setting out and surveying tasks

*

Assisting in the preparation of RAMS, ITPs, and technical documentation

*

Helping monitor site progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications

*

Recording as-built information and maintaining accurate site records

*

Liaising with supervisors and operatives to ensure smooth delivery of works

*

Contributing to site safety and quality standards

The Ideal Candidate:

*

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

*

Previous experience with a civils or groundworks contractor (placement or full-time)

*

Good knowledge of setting out equipment (e.g., GPS, Total Station)

*

Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

*

CSCS card required

*

A positive, proactive attitude and an interest in developing a long-term career in civil engineering
