Right Now Group are currently recruiting for a Junior Air Import Clerk to join our client who are a well-established, multi-branch freight forwarder in the UK at their main HQ in Chertsey.

As a Junior Air Import Clerk, your role involves supporting the Air Import operations team in managing the transportation of freight via air.

Duties and responsibilities of a Junior Air Import Clerk:

• Begin to understand the requirements for dealing with Air Import consignments from start to finish, supporting the experienced team within the office.
• You will mainly supporting on a few specific key accounts but will also be expected to assist with other general Air and Road freight shipments.
• Provide assistance and support to customers, including responding to inquiries, providing shipments updates and addressing any concerns or issues related to the import process.
• Preparation of billing invoices, verify charges and ensure accurate billing information for import services provided to customers.
• Assist in the customs clearance process by providing accurate information, verifying compliance with import regulations.
• Correspond with airlines, customs officials, freight forwarders and other parties involved in the import process to coordinate shipments.

The Successful Junior Air Import Clerk:

• The client is looking for someone who is looking for a long-term career in import/export operations, and has some experience in the sector to build on.

• Must have exceptional attention to detail and organization skills.
