Electrical Designer - EPlan (Coventry Region) Site based role in Hinckley
Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 DOE + Overtime
Full-time | Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours/week
Travel: Customers within 1.5 hours of Coventry

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our engineering team and deliver high-quality electrical and control system designs across a range of industrial projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll hit the ground running - no babysitting, just solid engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Design electrical and control systems using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel.

Produce a wide variety of design documents, including title pages, terminal and cable diagrams, layouts, parts lists, and safety evaluation reports.

Generate bills of materials, wire and cable labels, and device tags using Excel.

Import/export to and from DXF/DWG file formats.

Ensure designs comply with all relevant standards and codes.

Work closely with project teams to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery.

Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.

Conduct safety hardware validation using SISTEMA.

Travel to customer sites during installation phases as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

HND in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design.

Proficient in EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel.

Strong understanding of electrical and control components.

Familiarity with HSE, ISO, and other relevant standards.

Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical drawings.

What's on Offer:

Competitive salary: £38,000 - £48,000, depending on experience. + Overtime

Overtime paid at enhanced rates (Saturday 1.3x, Sunday 1.5x).

Pension scheme (3% employee / 5% employer).

23 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.
