Engineering Delivery Manager - Electronics Hardware
Location: Crawley

A leading defence consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager to lead delivery across high-integrity electronics hardware projects. Supporting a blue-chip client on programmes of national importance, this role offers a rare opportunity to combine delivery oversight, stakeholder leadership, and deep technical engagement in a mission-critical environment.

This is ideal for an experienced engineering professional with a background in electronics hardware and strong exposure to the defence, aerospace, or other safety-critical sectors.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for managing engineering delivery across complex programmes—tracking plans, resolving issues, coordinating resources, and ensuring alignment with quality and governance standards. Working across the full V-lifecycle, you'll drive delivery while identifying opportunities for improvement and keeping technical, commercial, and delivery stakeholders aligned.

This is a delivery-focused role with real impact, requiring both leadership and hands-on problem-solving.

What You'll Be Doing:

*

Oversee engineering delivery across multiple hardware-focused projects

*

Manage project plans, schedules, and progress against key milestones

*

Lead governance across the full V-lifecycle to ensure engineering quality

*

Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimise delivery disruption

*

Solve delivery and coordination challenges across teams and disciplines

*

Maintain strong stakeholder engagement and communication throughout

*

Seek and implement improvements in process, tools, and execution

What We're Looking For:

*

Strong background in engineering delivery, ideally in electronics or hardware-led programmes

*

Experience in defence, aerospace, or other high-integrity or regulated environments

*

Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end project delivery and cross-functional teams

*

Confident problem-solver with excellent planning and risk management skills

*

Professional, level-headed communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities

*

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND also considered with relevant experience)

Why Join?

*

Contribute to projects of real national and international significance

*

Work in a high-integrity, engineering-led environment with a clear purpose

*

Join a delivery-focused culture where initiative, quality, and leadership are valued

*

Supportive and collaborative team with scope for personal development and impact
