Overview:
This leading manufacturer of large scale process machinery equipment used primarily in the food manufacturing industry is currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team based in the west of Leeds area.

The role would be an ideal fit for someone with a passion for design engineering and a keen eye for detail who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Producing high-quality models and manufacturing drawings from specifications and concept designs.
Work closely with Design Managers and Project Engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification.
Collaborate with manufacturing departments to align design work to production capabilities.
Participate in design reviews and production meetings.
Produce design calculations for approval.
Support investigations into design errors and contribute to continuous improvement.
Key Skills:

Possess a minimum HNC in Mechanical or Design Engineering.
Have prior experience in Autodesk Inventor or a similar 3D CAD software application.
Hold 2 years + design experience in design for manufacture.
Experience of fabrication or sheet metal design.
Possess strong IT skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
