Position: Workshop Fitter - HGV
Location: Portsmouth
Job Type: Permanent, Monday - Friday 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm
Salary: £45,000 (DEO)

The Role

As a Workshop Fitter - HGV, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring they meet DVSA standards.

Key Responsibilities as a Workshop Fitter - HGV:

✅ Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on trailers
✅ Diagnose and fix issues with brakes, suspension, lighting, bodywork and other components
✅ Conduct welding and fabrication work when necessary
✅ Maintain accurate service records and documentation
✅ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

What We're Looking For:

🔹 Proven experience as a Workshop Fitter / Trailer Technician / Trailer Fitter or similar role
🔹 Strong knowledge of trailer components and repair techniques
🔹 Must have experience working on commercial vehicles
🔹 Welding and fabrication experience (preferred but not required)
🔹 Must have own tools
🔹 A valid HGV driver's license (is a plus)

Package

* £40K - £45K (DEO)
* 33 days holiday (Inclusive of Bank holidays)
