Teaching Assistant | Nursery - Workington

Humly is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.

This is a full-time role starting 20/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This role is ideal for someone with early years experience who is confident supporting children in a nursery or pre-school setting. You will play a key role in supporting young learners during an important stage of their development in a nurturing and engaging environment.

What You'll Be Doing

* Supporting children within the nursery / pre-school room with daily learning activities

* Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering play-based learning

* Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

* Providing one-to-one and small group support where required

* Helping to maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment

What You'll Bring

* Experience working within a nursery or early years setting

* Strong understanding of EYFS framework

* Ability to build positive relationships with young children

* A patient, caring, and proactive approach

* Good communication and teamwork skills

Pay

£14.26+ per hour
