We are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor or a motivated trainee to join our team, focusing on negotiating and agreeing on terms and conditions for contracts and sub-contracts awarded to Heidelberg Materials Contracting, while also liaising with in-house and external legal advisors.

  • Negotiation and agreement of terms & conditions for contracts & sub-contracts awarded to Heidelberg Materials Contracting (including liaison with in-house and external legal advisors)
  • Establish financial management and control systems for contract execution.
  • Involvement in procurement and engagement of sub-contractors and suppliers, including defined responsibilities and terms and conditions.
  • Manage revenue, cost, cash collection and the reporting function during the life of all allocated contracts, in line with company requirements.
  • Produce financial &commercial reports and forecasts as required for the Regional QS& others as directed.
  • Report on unsafe practices observed when visiting sites.
  • Have knowledge of the statutory requirements governing the company's work (including health & safety) as applicable to their scope of work.
  • Comply with Company procedures, authority levels and processes.
  • Mentor and assist in development of Assistant and Junior Commercial Staff
