SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ASD) | Primary School – Cambridge

 Start Date: September 15th | Full-Time | Special Educational Needs Focus

Reed Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Cambridge. This is a full-time position supporting a Year 3 pupil with Autism (ASD) on a 1:1 basis, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 behavioural and academic support tailored to the pupil’s needs
• Assist with classwork, including reading and writing
• Facilitate sensory room activities and other interventions
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective strategies
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Extensive experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism
• Strong behavioural and classroom management skills
• Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum
• Must have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
• UK address and right to work in the UK
