This role is suited to any candidates who have experience supporting secondary aged students or graduates who are considering aa career in teaching and wish to gain practical school based experience.
As a Learning Mentor, the successful candidate will provide support and guidance to students across years 7 - 11 who are experiencing barriers to learning. This role will involve working with students with Special Educational Needs and Social, Emotional or Behavioural problems.
The successful Learning Mentor will work with individual students outside of the classroom to provide support and guidance as well as delivering learning activities to small groups of students.
To apply for this position applicants must:
- Have a C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
- Be able to build positive relationship with students with SEN and SEMH.
- Be proactive and be able to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Have a good attitude towards teaching and learning.
