We are currently looking for a potential temp to perm SEN teaching assistants to join us for this fantastic opportunity to make a difference in a child's education.

Overview:

  • Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Pay: £80 per day
  • Location: Chester
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

  • The role: What you'll be doing as an SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting and supervising learners with ASD, PDA, Global delay Disorder or Challenging Behaviour
  • Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
  • Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
  • Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
  • Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
  • The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Teaching Assistant
  • At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings - experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial
  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
