Transport Shift Coordinator required for a long term, permanent assignment within a nationwide supplier of industrial, medical and special gases based in Bristol, BS4

• £17.81 per hour
• Monday – Friday
• Shift pattern rotates weekly 08:00 – 17:00 / 10:00 – 19:00
• 18-month FTC

About the role

• Administration and management of daily operations of the drivers and fleet
• Attend daily morning branch Ops Meeting
• Manage driver’s hours and ensure legal compliance
• Complete thorough driver trip Debriefs
• Maintain and review driving licence records, including carrying out driving licence, ADR certificate, CPC card checks
• Update and manage various in house systems
• Receive and respond to out of hours phone calls, including emergency delivery requests, etc
• Cover for the transport manager when necessary
• Review, maintain and update training logs

The right candidate

• Prior experience in a similar role such as transport administrator, logistics coordinator etc
• Computer literate (using Microsoft Office)
• Competent in data manipulation, analysis and collation skill.
• Excellent communication skills with neat and clear hand writing
