Job Title: Site Manager - Structured Cabling
Location: Newport, Wales (site-based)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
Engagement: Ltd / CIS / Umbrella / Self-Employed
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on delivering high-quality structured cabling projects across the Newport area. You'll be managing skilled teams on-site, ensuring every installation meets the highest standards for quality, safety, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in coordinating resources, liaising directly with clients, and keeping projects on track from start to finish.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and motivate teams of 4-8 engineers/supervisors to deliver projects on time and to spec.
Oversee Health & Safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Order and manage materials, ensuring availability without overspend.
Liaise with clients and keep the Project Manager fully updated.
Read and update drawings, create patching schedules, and compile handover documentation.
Conduct progress checks and quality audits to maintain high delivery standards.
Keep the site running smoothly, professionally, and efficiently at all times.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience with structured cabling or data centre installations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage workload under pressure.
Solid knowledge of cabling standards, documentation, and Health & Safety practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
Confident communicator with strong client-facing abilities.
Desirable:
CSCS or ECS Card
SSSTS / SMSTS certification
Asbestos Awareness
