Job Title: Driver Manager 
Salary: £55,000 per annum (£300 car allowance) 
Hours: Discussed at interview stage

We are seeking an experienced Driver Manager to lead and manage a large driving workforce within a highly regulated, unionised public transport operation.

This is a senior operational role with responsibility for safety, performance, compliance, and service delivery, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a high-profile transport environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach and motivate large teams of professional drivers to deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused services

Manage driver performance, attendance, welfare, conduct and formal appraisals

Ensure full compliance with Operator's Licence obligations, Driver CPC, tachograph regulations and licence checks

Support operational delivery through effective staff planning, budget control and KPI management

Drive continuous improvement in punctuality, lost mileage reduction and collision prevention

Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and proactive engagement

Build and maintain constructive relationships with trade unions, internal departments and external stakeholders

About You
Proven experience as a Driver Manager or Operations Manager within a regulated transport environment

Strong people leadership skills with demonstrable experience working in a unionised operation

Full PCV licence and valid Driver CPC (DQC) - essential

PSV Transport Manager CPC, or a commitment to achieve this within 12 months

Professional, resilient and highly organised, with a strong focus on customer service and safety
