About Us
Trinity House is a charity incorporated by Royal Charter since 1514 and dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers. We provide education, training and welfare support while fulfilling our statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority (GLA) to deliver a reliable, efficient, and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners. We are also a Fraternity comprising prominent members of the maritime community.
The Role
As Trinity House's Corporate Operations Manager, you will drive operational excellence by managing the Younger Brethren admissions process, managing and optimising the use of the new CRM/CMS systems, and supporting corporate operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will coordinate board papers, draft exceptional minutes, and ensure seamless communication across teams. This role blends operational coordination with hands-on execution, requiring precision, discretion, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end admissions process for Aspirant Younger Brethren, ensuring a seamless experience
- Own and optimise CRM and CMS systems, acting as the primary liaison with providers and training staff
- Craft high-quality communications, including newsletters and official correspondence
- Provide strategic support to corporate processes, including agenda coordination, board paper preparation, and professional minute-taking
- Maintain the Corporate Calendar and oversee essential operational resources
- Partner with the Fraternity Manager on Fraternity event planning and logistics
- Step in to support the Executive Assistant and wider team when needed
- Drive special projects as directed by the Secretary and the Head of Operations

About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- You bring a background in operations, administration, or a related field, with an eye for precision and organisation
- Your experience includes drafting minutes, managing board papers, and supporting governance in a professional setting
- A strong communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Educated to degree level or A-Levels (or equivalent) in a related field
- At least a GSCE grade C or above in English and Mathematics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM/CMS database systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
