We're working with a specialist contractor delivering Fire & Security, Electrical, Passive Fire Protection, and Fit-Out solutions across the education, commercial, and public sectors. To support their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to help bring on Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients, build long-term relationships, and drive new project opportunities.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be building new client relationships, winning contracts, and driving revenue growth across multiple service lines. You'll be well-connected, commercially aware, and able to position the business with Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, consultants, and direct clients.

While the focus is client-facing business development, the ability to support bids, tenders, and written proposals will be a strong advantage — helping ensure opportunities are converted into secured contracts.

Responsibilities:

Identify, approach, and secure Tier 1 and Tier 2 client opportunities in education, commercial, and fit-out sectors

*

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities

*

Leverage your industry contacts to introduce and win high-value projects

*

Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations

*

Support the preparation of bids and tenders (PQQs, EOIs, RFPs) where required

*

Collaborate with technical and operational teams to align service offerings with client requirements

*

Contribute to business strategy and long-term growth plans

About You:

*

Proven track record in business development within construction, M&E, fire, or fit-out sectors

*

Strong network of Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractor contacts with evidence of winning business

*

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

*

Commercially astute and target-driven

*

Bid writing experience desirable but not essential — ability to support submissions is a bonus
