Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes are recruiting a manufacturing engineer for a client of ours in the Bristol area.

The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and optimising production methods to support high-quality aerospace manufacturing. You'll work cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure that manufacturing processes meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, implement and refine manufacturing processes for aerospace components

* Create 3D models and CNC programs using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks and SolidCAM)

* Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges on the shop floor

* Specify and maintain tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment

* Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

* Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace regulations

* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process transfer projects

The Candidate:

* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in aerospace

* Strong knowledge of CNC machining, CAD/CAM (SolidWorks & SolidCAM preferred), and manufacturing techniques

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

* Quality-focused mindset with a drive for Right First Time production

* Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, quality, and production teams

* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering

* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

* Familiarity with industry compliance and IP protection

Benefits:

* Salary up to £45,000

* 37-hour week: Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:00, Friday 07:30-12:30

* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
